We undertake a range of conventional machining services including milling and turning. Conventional machining is often a more efficient method of production for simple small batch work as well as large difficult to hold items. A large amount of our work involves part copy as well as component repair, all of which is better suited to conventional machining. Other conventional machining processes include sawing, drilling, broaching and surface grinding.

Milling: We operate several NC conventional mills with capacity of up to 1219mm X 305mm, variable feed rates, tilting heads and and spindle speeds of 70-3600 rpm.

Turning: We operate a Colchester Triumph Manual with 15" swing x 30" between centres, straight bed, and 3/4 jaw chucking, ideal for repair and copy work.

Surface Grinding: We operate a surface grinder with a manual magnetic chuck capable of producing a finish accuracy of 3.2µ.

Sawing: We operate a vertical saw suited to cutting bar across 0-90°angles.

Drilling: Pedestal drilling can be undertaken.
