CNC Turning
We offer CNC turning of components up to Ø12" (Ø8" chuck) and 23" long at spindle speeds of up to 4,800 RPM.
 Hurco WinMax® Control technology gives us complete versatility at the machine with options for conversational and NC programming as standard, integrated tool & material management, advanced verification graphics and leading edge surface finishing smoothing algorithms for a superb surface finish.
 We offer a full range of 3 axis CNC turning processes including:

Tooling is chosen to meet the requirements of the job. Although we use a wide range of tool suppliers we tend to source most tooling through Iscar, Advance Carbide Tooling and Sumitomo Electric, for a superior result. The choice of tool is critical to the quality of the finished component whether its roughing for finishing materials as varied as cast iron, aluminium alloys and plastics.
 The CNC lathes tool & material libraries allow for setup feeds and speeds of different materials to be retrieved by the operator including separate feeds and speeds for roughing or finishing operations, as required, which means we can ensure the best cutting and finishing regimes for your job. Combined with technology to automatically monitor tool wear based on time in the spindle we can guarantee the perfect results every time.
We also operate an XYZ Proturn VL425 CNC lathe and a Tryax Centriod T 400 CNC lathe.
We use Renishaw Conversational Touch Tool Probes for on machine set-ups, capable of measuring to an accuracy of ±0.005mm, ideal for the machining of castings.
Standard surface finishes of 3.2µ, 1.6µ or 0.8µ as well as super finishing of steel and cast iron can be offered.
We accept most small to medium size batch jobs as well as prototype and development work. We can work with free issue material or source any materials including high grade alloys and plastics with certification of conformity where required.
